Take a journey of Iowa's Black history illustrating the reasons why a person or a family moved to Iowa, around Iowa, left Iowa, and returned. Blacks moved to Iowa long before statehood in 1846.


Join me for my one-hour virtual Zoom presentation on February 25, 2020, at 12:00 pm central time. This event is free, but registration is required.


The presentation is part of the “Iowa History 101” series, which the State Historical Society of Iowa offers to commemorate Iowa’s 175th year of statehood.
