Iowa's Black Migration Presentation

Join me for my one-hour virtual Zoom presentation on February 25, 2020, at 12:00 pm central time. I will be presenting a journey of Iowa's Black history illustrating the reasons why people or families moved to Iowa, around Iowa, left Iowa, returned to Iowa, and left again from the beginning of Iowa's statehood. Iowa turns 175 years old this year.

The event is free, but registration is required.

The presentation is part of the “Iowa History 101” series, which the State Historical Society of Iowa offers to commemorate Iowa’s 175th year of statehood.

Check out the list of upcoming "Iowa History 101" or past presentations.
