Add a family recipe to your family story or a french nougat recipe
Updated: Jun 20, 2020
As you might be able to tell when I started thinking of a research subject for this blog post I was hungry. When writing your family history, you can bring your grandmother or great grandmother’s story to life by adding a recipe to it. Is the recipe part of a favorite meal she made you? Did the recipe win a blue ribbon at the county or state fair? Or maybe a contest in the local newspaper? Perhaps you like cooking and would like to share a recipe from an unknown person but from the time and area your relative lived. Maybe you are like me and looking at old recipes is interesting with little measurements used. When you try out the french nougat recipe or another recipe listed here please let me know what you think. To those creative types I have included a recipe on how to color carpet rags brown, blue, yellow, and green.
